Assassination and stealth equipment in Kenshi

Assassination and stealth equipment in Kenshi

An assassination draws on the Assassination skill, and the armour a character wears multiplies it. Two pieces raise it; the rest of the pieces that touch it lower it, and the heaviest lower it most. A member who tries in Samurai Armour or Crab Armour fights their own kit before they reach the target.

Assassin's Rags give the larger assassination multiplier; Ninja Rags give less of it but more stealth. Every chest plate in the table cuts assassination, so an assassin takes plate off before the attempt and puts it back for the fight that may follow.

Where assassination is trained

The game builds three training dummies for it: Assassination Dummy, Assassination Dummy II and Assassination Dummy III. Each page lists what its record says about how far it teaches.

What the records leave out

No record states the chance that an assassination succeeds against a given target, or what the target's own skills add to it. The table shows what your kit does to your side of the attempt.
